Default getting my Jun 3 cams installed today

Hi guys, I am excited this morning cuz I will be bringing my car to AJR today to get my cams installed along with the valve springs, retainers, spoon headgasket, spoon cam gears, and type one b-pipe

anything I should make them take note of while the head is off?? (ie, check for any problems with my engine)

i am thinking to switch motor oil (I use to use mobil synthetic)...can I just give them other synthetic engine oil or is there something else I need to do first?

I will be getting hondata in a week or so, but before I do that, I am running on stock ecu...would it be safe to rev the engine high on stock ecu?

congrats, stock ECU will run them okay, but you will not get all the power. My VTEC X-over is set at 5700 anyway, so you should be fine to drive around until you get your Hondata

I wouldn't drive it too hard until you break everything in. You don't want to do something stupid becuase of a lack of patience. It's better to wait and do everything right so you will have a happy motor and you will have nothing to regret. I guarantee if you rev the **** out of it untuned you will regret it.Good luck.

if you are paraniod about the break-in, just disconnect the vtec solenoid plug so you dont accidently hit it. im not 100% if the CEL will come one.

I got there (AJR) just as your car was ready. I was driving the R with the JDM front. Can't wait to see how much you'll like 'em after it's broken in!

Oh and like someone said, I think it's about time we hold another H-T Vancouver meet

It's running ok
I recently had it dyno tuned, and got 226whp outta it.
I just pulled a 13.4@102mph timeslip last friday, still learning my slicks
Hoping by the end of summer I'll get the 12sec run that I'm shooting for

So have you broken your stuff in yet? how you liking the Jun's?
