if you want to keep the a/c you will need a del sol vtec bracket. if you arent worried about a/c any b series a/c bracket should work.
correct me if i am wrong. i know the del sol bracket will work.

hmm, how is that again? i guess you really don't need either of the lower brackets then, right? they just keep the motor from twisting around....

so you're using only the three upper mounts?....the two outside uppers, and rear trans bracket?

im not using that one either. the only mounts i have are the upper one by the timing belt, the rear mount the upper tranny mount and teh lower tranny mount. thats it
Those mounts are there for a reason. Your putting a twisting effect on the remaining mounts causing wheel hop and mount failure in the long run. I had a bad A/C rubber mount which caused my upper main mount to bust at the track and throw the fluid in the mount everywhere.
Not using them and saying you haven't had problems 'yet' doesn't make sense. Stock 70hp Civics that don't go to the track have the mounts, makes sense you should have them if your running a swap with double the power at the track.

Same exact thing happened to me. That stuff is gross as hell. Dripped on the crank pullies and shat it everywhere.

i still have all 5 mounts.
if you were running urethane mounts, i think you could get away with it.
but if they are still there, id use 'em.

i got prothane inserts and the J's Racing engine dampener so i can get away with it. so those vibration mounts arent neccesary anymore
I dont have mine, because when I did my swap, there was a tab welded onto the frame rail and it didnt allow the holes to line up on the block with the bracket. I've watched my motor move, while it's revved to 5k + and it doesn't move more than an inch. But. . . I plan on grinding the tab on the frame off and putting the bracket on this weekend.
how has that j's dampner been working? did it make a noticable improvment? i have been wanting one of those, save an easy 10lbs by taking out the lower mounts and brackets.

i
it. not only the fact that nobody else has it in my area, but that it really works. engine doesnt move at all. especially when paired with inserts. i got mine for $200 on a hook-up, but i recomend it if your a baller

i did't have mine in b16 and b20.. it never caused me problems..accidently tossed them cause i thought it was d series stuff.. but if u got them trhen install it
p.s. and i also use a del sol a/c bracket also.. for the condenser..

out of 5 potential mounts used in that swap that may be the most optional of the set, but why take the risk? you've invested big bucks in your motor swap and will probably be ragging it out once its running. why not spend 50+ bucks for one last mount. will also help you out if you ever decided to sell the car.
