Default Anyone have the ACT HDSS??

I'm trying to decide which ACT clutch to go with. I'm worried that the HDSS won't be strong enough for the amount of racing that I do. I take the car to the track twice a week, but push it often. I'm only running 6psi on a t3/04e 57 trim, but i plan on running 9ish. Will this clutch hold up??

I would definately recommend staying away from the heavy duty pp. At least go with the extreme pp.

I'm running the xtss with extreme pressure plate and street strip cluch...that should hold up for awhile....the fell of the xtss is nice!,..not to stiff and very smooth in my teg. While its out u might want to consider a lighten flywheel..and try to stay away from puck discs.

You can use your OEM flywheel; just make sure to get it resurfaced. I'm using the HDSS with the stock flywheel, and I like it. It can feel a little soft at times, but it still grabs just as good now as it did when I first bought it some 10000 miles ago. It held up great while I was boosting 5-7 psi (with a 10 psi spike) and still feels good now that I'm back to NA. The pedal feel is slightly stiffer than stock but still very streetable. The HDSS kit for my car can hold up to 223 lb-ft of torque, and that's way more than I'll ever see.

get the xtss street/stip dics. You'll kick yourself if you don't. what if you decide to up the boost later (everyone does!!) that HDSS clutch won't hold long.

Get the xtss for sure.

Ive been using the HD/SS for like 20 months. I race ALOT. Ive put down over 240ftlbs of torque on the HD/SS and never had a single problem with it. I couldn't be happier with that clutch. Ive seen people ruin act clutches fast but I think its because of bad driving. If u break it in properly and don't slip it, it will hold alot of power and last a long time. Next set up is going to be around 300ftlbs torque and I am going to use the extreme/street strip because i have had such good luck w/ the heavy duty.
