Well what ya think? i need a new hood.. mine is reall bumped up :-) was figuring i could just take a deep step into a cowl hood? i like them.. can't find them for sale anywhere?? If you guys could link me or anything too would be cool.. yea yea appearance forum? figure i'd get opinions of other rexers?

 

i dunno.. that's more of a muscle car thing..

I like the gude hood.

 

The crx SiR hood has a stock cowl. Also, the ZC in japan has a bonnet. I would do the cowl if I had problems clearing the hood. I prefer function vs. form. So cut holes in the hood.

I saw the GUDE hood in person..and I felt my lunch coming up....sorry dude, but I think it was the ugliest hood.

I think they need to stay on American cars.

 

I think they would look okay, but just a small cowl, nothing huge. There was a guy here in Tennessee (in Chattanooga) that used to make cowl hoods to fit CRX's. I think they were like $300. I don't remember his name, though.

 

im making a custom hood from a stock hatch hood and the cowl from a fiberglass camaro hood. Im going to cut my stock hood and all the brace supports where the stock cowl dips down, then im going to rivet in the fiberglass cowl section. I might remove most of the other webbing too, since this will be my lightweight race hood. I think it will look bad ***.

 

how is the figment on the GUDE hood. From all the pix that I've seen they seem to made fairly nice taken into OEM hood specs. But some people have said that they didn't line up at all. Tell me your experiance and do you know were to get the?

I like it and would rather have it over a barley funtional carbon fiber hood, (IMHO) no flame wars please.

 

yea..they are ugly even on domestics
