I have already searched but nothing seems to fit my situation.
Car: 1992 honda civic SI hatch
Engine: 2000 honda civic DX
ECU: OBD1 DX
In short, i am running a 2000 engine with a 92 civic intake manifold along with all sensors, injectors, fuel rail etc, and ECU. Today, i went to get a emmision test and failed. This is the result:
40 KM/H simulation:
HC ppm Limit: 86 value read: 0 = PASS
CO % Limit: 0.48 value read: 0.09 = PASS
NO ppm Limit: 0663 value read: 9 = PASS
Curb Idle:
HC ppm Limit: 200 value read: 3 = PASS
CO % Limit: 1 value read: 3.25 = FAILED
In short, i passed everything with flyin colours BUT the carbon monoxide is EXTREMELY high during idle. Any suggestions?

High CO Failure
In the case of fuel injected engines, from 1986 on,
1. Fuel Injection System
2. Induction system problems
3. O2 Sensor
4. TPS
5. MAP
6. MAF
7. Coolant Temp Sensor may be closed
8. OTher sensors/switches (I guess this is a CYA thing (cover your ***)
9. Valve train problems
10.Jumped engine timing belt
Plus...
Idle speed adjustment
Air Filter Condition
Thermostatic Air Cleaner
Air Injection/Reaction System
EVAP fuel system
Oil and Filter Change
Catalytic Converter
Computer PROM
Here is some info i grabbed from another thread i hope it helps. I would take a look at your cat if i were you.

For future references, it was a bad tank of gas! I have forgotten that was the same tank of gas that was put in before my car went into storage. I have also added fuel stabilizer to it so i am not sure if it made a difference. Anyhow, the car passed with flying colors yesterday and i didn't do anything to it except refilling it.
