My R has about 19,000 miles on it...i was wondering if I should change my transmission oil...the manual says change every 120,000 miles/72 months...What do you guys think? I'm asking this cause I bought some Honda MTF along with my an OEM Honda filter and washers for my upcoming oil change...I may not change my tranny fluid cause manual says so..unless my fellow R owners say otherwise

 

change it..If you drive hard on it..just change it..u need about 2.2 qts of honda mtl..i do it every 20k miles cause i am a drag racer and want to keep my tranny running at its best..

 

hmmmmm...I too sometimes drive hard on it..but not much...i dont' use VTEC as much and rarely do street/drag racing...Gonna drag race this weekend though if it don't rain...yeah, I need 2.2 quarts..I got 3 quartz...hmmmm..might change it..nor hurt in changing right..just be beneficial cause putting new fluids in

 

I'm at 19,500 miles and probably gonna change it at 20,000. I had no idea that the recommended is at 120,000! That's retarded.

 

just change it when you change your engine oil
