if you have time on your side and have done some work on your car before, its not too bad. i just helped my friend put a clutch on his car. it took us 2 weekend days to do it. we spent about 10 hours on it working at a very slow pace (in 80+ degree sun + 100% humidity).

if you have specific questions, let us know.

The hardest part will probably be getting the axles out...once thats done pulling the tranny off is a joke as well as the clutch. Have the right tools and a good guide (helms) and it will be easy. I can do one in about 3-4hrs by myself.

for me pulling the axles is easy. you just need a good pry bar to get in and pop the axles out.

IMO, the part that can take a while (or no time at all) is getting the tranny mated to the engine. you need to have the splines lined up correctly as well as the tranny at the right angle.

with 3 people this weekend it took us about 5 minutes to get it on. in the past, i've spent well over 2 hours trying to get the tranny mated to the engine. talk about frustrating.

that's right, took me 1 hour to line up the trans, we made a makeshift tranny jack by using a wood with a hole and a bolt, that was bolted onto the jack, some rope to lift the heavy side of tranny on... only 2 of us did it... was ok... that was the hardest part to me.

axles.. bullshit.. the 32mm nut might be a bitch but other than that, easy.

Pulling the axles were a piece of cake for me, but it took ages to get the tranny mated to the engine. It would have been faster with a better alignment tool.
Just don't get mad, it will eventually go on.
