Default :: ecu question :: hondata chipped vs mugen chipped - what are the differences ::

i was wondering what (if any) are the hardware differences between an ecu chipped for hondata and an ecu chipped with an n/a chip like mugen. the reason i ask is because i have the chance to get a mugen chipped ecu for a good deal and i was wondering if i could use this with hondata (just swapping the chip) or if there are other modifications i need to have done to the ecu before it is ready for hondata. (hope this makes sense cuz it is super late/early). thanks.

It depends on whether the mugen chipped ECU has the chip socketed or soldered. If it is socketed you need only install one 4 pin connector and cut a jumper.
