i have a 99 civic ex with a D16 engine and i want to swap it with a B16 or B18. what will i need to modify? will my transmission from the D16 work with a B16 or B18?

 

No it will not work: D series trans are not compatible wit B series motors

You will need complete swap: Engine, Trans, Shift linkage, Axles, halfshaft, ecu, and various mounts from the 99-00 SI.

 

like the guy above said no your d series tranny is not compatible with a b series motor.just type in b16 or b18 in the search engine and you will a lot of helpful threads that will tell you all the parts you need.good luck man!

I think you should swap in an obdII b18b. I know somebody that has an ecu for sale.
