Default Gauge lights question (SRS & Maintance Req.)

The SRS light is on in my 2000 accord. I think it is becuase I havn't reset my ecu from when I disconnected a wire under the passangers seat when I removed the seat.

Though there is also a maintance required light that has been going off lately when I start the car. Any idea what that is going off for?

My car only has 27,000 mi.

The maint. is just a reminder. here's how you clear it.

press and hold trip reset
turn key to on position
wait ten seconds
light shoud go off

for the srs you need to go to the dealer

I though about resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery, though I don't want to lose my vafc settings.

you could reset it by pulling the fuse.

why you always talk so much about those little stuff, he's new to the srs thing.

you need to find a SRS plug on the left side on the driver's side.
look up at the dead panel and you'll find two plug, the look indentical.
they have two wires. the one harder to reach is the one you want to connect, use a paper clip.

when you remove the clip from the passenger seat the srs light is triggered, next time do it when the car's off or better yet take out the battery.

IM me for how to reset srs.

the vafc will not be reset after the you pull the battery, reset ecu, it save it's setting, even if the vafc plug is removed, Dont quote me on how long will the setting stored probably a week or so?

you can reset the ecu by removing the negative terminal from the battery, or the ecu fuse. i Perfer the battery because it's easier, let the wire off for ten second and put it back(watch for the spark).

turn the car on and idle it for 10min, no throttle just let it run.
