questions about 200+ whp on a n/a type-r engine
A TYPE R can handle a 50 shot of NOS all day, you will need lower compression pistons, stonger rings, and new head bolts, possibly a stonger head gasket.
I ran a 50 shot, with apex'i vafc, cool air intake, and a header at the track, and I ran a 13.45, and then ran it with a G-TEC pro, and it showed 225 wheel horse power.

I'm at 197 whp on a B18C5 N/A and so far, its been reliable. Just break it in right and most importantly.... no one can overemphasize this - Tuning is critical. If you run it without tuning, you are not getting the most out of it and could be hurting the motor. Get a good ECU (Hondata comes to mind) and get it tuned by someone who's done it before. There's no reason a 200+ whp ITR/B18C5 shouldn't be reliable. EV.
just curious.... what are your guy's setups in acheiving the 200+? i need to know because i'm getting the spoon cams soon, getting my VAFC installed, cam gears, and a header..
