I just want to know what engines cost, and what is the best buy. Im not lookin to buy right now I just want to know what costs what and what is the best for the price range.

and I also would like to know why just about everyone and there mom has a b16? What is so great about them that everyone has to have one, or is it just one of those "there cheap, but put out more power than stock motors"

 

b16's are popular for a multitude of reasons: they are relatively inexpensive, easy to come by, easy to install, make a decent amount of power in stock form, have a TON of aftermarket support, and they simply look cool sitting in place of a sohc. that said let me ask YOU something. do you think that increasing the output of your car overnight buy about 160% is worthwhile?

 

I agree..b16s are an upgrade in performance, they are cheaper than doing a custom elaborate exotic swap..but to tell you the truth...the b16a is getting scarce...the supply is running out and it is getting harder and harder to find....the boat load shipments are getting less and less b16a's....its sad..but if you are gonna get one..secure one now...or get a b16a3..b18..b20..h22...

.....the dohc VTEC logo in place of an original sohc does look pretty cool!!!!!!
