i sold my friend my type r lip i got from someone else on this forum cuz he has a
black gsr and the lip is black.
he said all the nuts and bolts that came with the oem lip didn't fit in the holes of
his gsr..and that the two screws that were already on his bumper held up the
lip fine.

is this right?

 

no. there is a screw on each side
then there are like 7+ bolts/clips on the bottom that secure to the bumper.

 

(4) screws and (7) bolts/clips is right.

Maybe it's for the wrong year of bumper.

 

dood...it's not the wrong year..lol. if it was..it just wouldn't fit.

 

go to ur nearest hard ware store and buy rivits.. and put it on that way... its much better..

yeah

 

on the ends of the lip there are 4 holes. on a GSR, only two of them are drilled. if you want to fit all 4 you have to drill the extra 2 into your bumper.

so, disregarding the bottom clips, your friend is right.

 

just go to home depot and get some self tapping screws... i just took my lip off yesterday and it had like 8-10 screws
