Alright here goes...
I have a 94 gsr with 250,000km. I had new axles placed in my car and springs and shocks to go with my rear itr bar in the last 2 months. The other day I was moving very slowly and I heard a pop-pop from my car in the front end...to be honest like an axle that is messed a bit...but these are new. To go on now when I turn slowly(not all the time and I have to be edging forward) I can hear the pop-pop and if I turn sharply with the wheel cranked I can sometimes here a grinding noise. Now this only happens when I am very slowly moving(under 5km/h). One more thing...it seems that my steering is becoming harder to steer and now my car does not want to return to center and I have to bring it back but the steering is getting harder. I know this because my girlfriend has an ls and her steering is so easy compared to mine.
I am going to look under my car later on and my mechanic buddy can't help me. If I can't diagnose this I will take it to the mechanic down the road(good people) and if they can't(they work mostly on domestics) then to the acura dealer I go to get hosed.
thanks in advance

i would get under the car and check that the axles are seated properly. they could be popping out. and also check to make sure the axle nuts are staked down.
The way your describing this it almost sounds like u have a Kaaz LSD(hehe
)
i have one and if i go around corners slowly with the wheel turned it will pop, since the disk are trying to grab.

I will for sure check that...actually when my buddy installed them the one popped out so it could be that...If it is I may just get a replacement and put the bugger in there. As for the nuts I think those are on good(used an impact gun) but I will check...thanks for the info bud

Alright,
I went under my car and checked the passenger side(where the noise was coming from) and there are no leaks of anykind anywhere. The wheel doesn't move when I push and pull it hard. But when I grab the axle(the shaft) with a bit of a push it will move up and down(into the boots) and will move all the way into the upper cv join(it is moving over an inch-maybe evn 2 inches). On the other axle(the tire was on the ground though) the axle would move a smidge either way, unlike the passenger which has tons of movent. The axle is under a lifetime warrenty though so I may try and take it out today and swap it(the axle nut is going to be a bastard without an impact gun though, although it has only been on for less than 2 months.
anyone...is the travel in the axle normal?

If anyone reads this is was indeed the axle...I replaced it, first time doing it...a bit of a bitch but to be honest it really was pretty easy...getting the lower control arm off was challenging since I had only read about it...used a pickle fork and it can off easily and I didn't damage the joint...problem solved!
