WTB: Exhaust for turbo setup
Hey I just got a Revhard Stage 2 turbo kit on my B16A. Now I need a different exhaust setup. I don't have too much money to spend but let me know what you have. I don't want it to sound like a tin can. A low rumbling would be nice. Right now I am running open 2.5 inch downpipe and it is really loud. Post suggestions and pics. What size should I get. Thanks
well i have the exhaust that mKteller8 sells
only thing it is for a gsr....
it is 3 inch mild steel.. i am sure you can use it just cut and weld...
But it might be too much trouble...

Okay here are a few trips. One reason why your exhaust is so loud might be caused by a few things.
Wastegate Outlet-Is it going out into the atmosphere or is it routed back into your downpipe or exhaust? If it is not connected to your exhaust then you need to do this.
How thick is your exhaust piping? If it is not at least 16 gauge or thicker then you will get lots of echo and rattling on your piping. Make sure they make your exhaust piping out of 16 gauges or thicker exhaust piping.
Muffler-Does it have any packing? Or is it just chambered. Fine a chamber packed muffler. The thicker the packing the better however you will lose some exhaust gas flow.
Pre-Silencer-Do you have some type of mid-muffler or pre-sliencer? If not you should get one.
Well I hope some of this information helps you. Unless later on you have the cash let me know if you want to spend money on a cat-back turbo exhaust from Thermal. I sell them for $675.00 and it is stainless steel with 3" stainless steel piping and muffler. Pretty good and not too loud.

Well right now I am selling a 2.5 exhast that is down turned right before the fuel tank. This is probably the best design both for power and throttle response and weight but for the fact it can't be seen and hides sooty exhaust fumes really well and makes more power the faster you go because of exhaust scavenging
For 275 I'll include both a bolt on straight pipe for racing and a high flow cat for around town ect. The muffler is a dyno max 21 in race muffler for a verrrry mellow tone.
The only reason I am selling this is because the car no longer sees street duty so a single piece welded on design with no cat replaced it.
Now it's not blingin but your not going to get a better design.
