OIL cooler w/ rad
Ive got everything I need for an oil cooler set up BUT I need a new rad and the one I am thinking of getting has the extra nipples for an auto tranny cooler. I was wondering If i could use that part of the rad to cool oil instead? good idea? itll be much easier than trying to mount/find a spot for the little cooler i was going to use.
thanks
thanks
any decent oil cooler uses -10/-12 AN lines, of about 3/4" for the newbies. The automatic radiator tranny cooler is about 5/16".
Now think this, you want to supply you WHOLE engine with oil through a TINY oil line?
I won't even get into the oil bypass/pressure function.
In short, if your radiator has tranny cooler line hookups, and your driving a manual, leave it unused.
The littlest oil cooler to use, is the B&M cooler that comes with the import kit, but the filter adapter doesn't fit.
