think i killed my motor?
think i killed my car, timing belt snapped when i was doin about 25 mph...car shut off and nuttin looked uunder the hood and the belt was just layin there...what are the odds of my head being trashed?...what good head packages are out there for a d16a6(sohc zc) motor...car is a 91' crx si......any help would be appreciated.. thanks
Did anything go bang?
Put a new belt on and see. My car: timing belt had snapped before I got it. They said it bent all the valves. Nope. I've put 18,000 km since then.
The first thing to do is put on a new belt and go from there.

At that speed I doubt anything happened unless you modded your internals for higher compression. I have successfully snapped 3 T-belts and NEVER bent a valve. All snaps happened under 30 mph.
i didnt cranked it over ,, same thing happened to my friend and he threw the new belt on and everyhing worked again...i duno ill find out tomorrow my car is at my uncles shop he is gonna take a look at it for me ...is there any good head work i can do to it while its there? all i have now is bolt ons i.h.e.....15.3 but im not sure whats out there i heard bullfrog is good...but there site has no prices...
Look, don't get your hopes up too high. I think these guys here were just lucky. When timing belts break, valves get bent. Usually.
It really depends on weather or not it is an interference motor or not, First step is to put on a new belt and see. If it will not start, do a leak down, and a compression test on the motor.
