VX Wheels
If I bought 13" VX wheels and put them on my civic would that put me out of the stock class? I have 13" steelies right now so I wouldn't think so. Also, is it worth bothering with these wheels, I mean, are they too small to even be worth buying for autox use?
They are worth it if you want to remain in stock class. AFAIK, the VX wheels are 13x5, same as the stock steelies, but weigh a measerly 10lbs or so, which is obviously good. I think also the offset is the same or very close. You need to be within about +/- 6mm to be legal. Mount some 185-60-13, 205-60-13 or even 215-50-13 race tires on those suckas and you're set. When you'll be ready to change classes like a move to STS, or SP, P, SM etc, then you should get something much wider, like a 13x8...
I have vx rims on my ef and they are like pizza cutters but that is because I"m only running 175/70/13 on them. They only weigh 8lbs. If you do get vx rims upgrade the tires asap because your not going to get any traction around turns, its going to be all understeer thats all I do around turns and I light the tires up as well.

to expand on that, 7.5" is the widest wheel you can run in STS
