i just got done turbo charging my ride with the apexi kit for my d16z6. i was wondering will it be okay for me to run on my stock exhaust for now at 5psi to i can afford a new one? if so, well it hurt anything ie...motor, turbo etc..? THANKS.

oh how do you set the psi on the internal wastegate?

 

You won't hurt anything with the stock exhaust except your hp/torque and spool-up time (although I really didn't feel too big of a difference when I switched from 60 mm piping back to my stock exhaust).

 

anything is going to be better then the stock exhaust...although you will feel a huge difference when you upgrade. as for the boost level..buy a boost controller.

 

with my stock exhaust i barley get 5psi out of my 8 psi spring and after 6k it feels like the top ending is choking dying and cat breath like the car doesnt want to go faster

 

with my stock exhaust i get 8 psi then with open down pipe i get 10.5 psi...

 

wouldnt you boost creep like crazy on a stock exhaust?

Its the other way around. Easier to boost creep with open downpipe.

 

whoa thanks... i just need to put a stock exhaust on so i can do emissions. anyway to tell how much im boosting with a internal wastegate? i just wanna make its set at 5-6psi and nothing more. thanks.

 

It should come preset already at 6 psi. If you're unsure, hook up a boost gauge.
