Default missed a gear, possible underlying problems?

last night on my way home from work i was redlining 2nd and i missed 3rd gear. my rpm went past 9k almost to 9.5k. i have a fully built skunk2 head including valvetrain with ti ret. my question is this, i did a compression test and cylinder 1, 2, 4 were at 210 and 3 was at 195. this seems to be ok to me and maybe i got lucky, however, my battery light will not go out for some reason. the car is a 97 type r with a chipped ecu. any ideas would be helpful, thanks.
