2 questions. air/fuel and fuel pump
today i installed my holly 255lph fuel pump in my civic. everything went smoothly until i tried to start the car it wouldn't crank over (no fuel). so i went back and double checked everything. all conections were good??? i know the was signal going to it because it was warm from trying to start the car but when i pulled the hose off the pump there was no fuel pressure or fuel in the hose??? i also double checked the polarity and that was good any idea's anybody have problems with these pumps(i know most people here like the bosch pumps) also if i return it should i get the f/i pump whats the difference??
then here is my second question after that misshap i figured that i should get something accoplished so i hooked up my air/fuel gauge. everything is hooked up and i think it's working (i have not driven my car yet) but when i start it the first two lines light up then go away and none are lit up when it is idleing but if i rev it a little they light up (is this normal how will i know where my air/fuel is at idle?)it is an autometer air/fuel ratio gauge. thanks any help is greatly appreciated

you have to have the FI version of the pump. the one youre using cant support the high fuel pressures. Also, the problem youre having with your A/F gauge is the same one I had. I ended up just putting another O2 sensor on my downpipe and using that one to run my A/F gauge. For some reason it wasnt working correctly off of the stock 4-wire sensor.
Do you have the correct wire tapped? I had a similar problem and found out i was tapped into the wrong wire.. the correct one i belive is white, the big one??
Not usre on the pump, it should have enough fuel to start your car, the pump has no idea if your FI or not, so it should at least give you fuel to start the car... the FI seems logical but doesnt explain why you dont have ANY fuel going through..
got gas?

yeah i believe that i have the rite one i taped into it at the ecu a white one on the 16 prong plug (thats the one my mechanic told me it was the plug for my o2 sensor is hidden under my intake manifold so it is a bitch to get to) maybe i'll try using another o2 sensor thanks i guess i'll send the pump back to summit racing and tell them it doesn't work then i'll have them send my the f/i one. how high will they flow my stock one craps out at 85 psi or so.also what do you guys run your timing at (assuming that you still use your stock ecu) i was told to fun it at 12 or 14 degrees and not a full 16 degrees. thanks
