Default Any bulbs instead of HID kit?

I have a 2002 accord coupe, and I want HID, but someone told me that since my headlights are like crystalized or something like that, then i can go get a bulb that would make it look like HID. Is there a bulbs I can go buy? If so, whats the type, and how much is it? Thanks

No halogen bulb with give you the same effect like HIDs do. Silverstars give you a white output which is good.

Amen to that. No replacement for HID, believe me.
And I got a set for sale if you want. I don't need it anymore since the TSX has some OEM.
IM me if you're interested.

headlight bulbs and any bulb for that matter will never be the same as hids. Bulbs that are tinted actually decrease that light output that the bulb makes. Hids use a gas to make that blueish light.

Hello All! My girlfriend has a 2002 Accord Coupe, and we bought the silverstars for it last night. I took out the stock bulb and then tried to put the silverstar bulb in, but it wouldn't fit in right. So, I couldn't turn it clockwise to lock it in. We got the 9006 bulbs, so they are the right ones I believe. Has anyone put silverstars in? Do I need to modify the bulb in any way, or am I maybe doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I use 9005 cool blues in place of the stock 9006s. I do not know however KCLude01 if the 2002 Accord has 9006 lights in it stock...it may? I'd assume so anyhow. You shouldn't have any problems getting it in? Did you turn the little locking plastic **** thingy? ..dunno how to call it .

Yeah, they are 9006 stock and the silverstars I got are 9006 S/T or something. The stock bulbs and the silverstars bulb housing looks exactly the same, so I don't know why it isn't fitting right. I tried to turn the plastic **** thing, but it looks like the bulb didn't sit in there right, so it wouldn't turn and lock into place. Do I need to loosen those screws that hold the bulb housing in place? I just don't know what I could be doing wrong.

all xenon bulbs just change the tint of the light; piaa, catz, polarg, raybrig....all do the same thing. None are any brighter than what you have. The true way to acheive that intensity is with the HID kits, considering the positives of what you gain from them, they are very well worth it. Later, Andy
