Gauging Interest - Complete PS Removal Kits
This is a complete bolt-on package, and includes absolutely everything necessary to loop/vent the PS system. The contents list is as follows:
- Complete US Brake reservoir/breather setup
- Reinforced tubing (oil/fuel-safe)
- Aeroquip fittings for rack
- "T" fitting (reducer and "Y" fittings also included in 5th. gen Civic kit)
- All necessary clamps
- Heavy-duty yellow PTFE tape (for rack fitting)
- Zip-ties
- Screws/washers
- Printed instructions/diagram
Pricing is $63 for Integra, $64 for '96-'00 Civic, and $68 for 5th gen. Civic. This kit is intended for those who wish to properly remove their PS systems but would prefer a high-quality, bolt-on solution over sourcing the seperate components themselves. As with many other things, it could be duplicated by an individual at slightly less expense. Standard shipping method is USPS priority (normally between $4 - $6).

Definately. No lift is needed, although a jack would make the installation easier.

Update on the kits:
Interest seems high enough that I will go ahead with the idea for the kits. I have been finalizing the components, and will most likely have a complete list by Thursday. The first kit should be finished by next weekend, and I will have photos ready at that time. Due to a problem with one of the original components (the fitting) the final cost will most likely be approximately $65-67.
For those who are definitely interested, please PM or email me with your H-T name, full name, and address so that I can begin a database. This information will be used to determine the necessary number of each component and also to calculate individual shipping before I collect each payment.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.

There is a great explanation here:
You have to read most of it though.

OK - the kit is basically finalized. Each kit will include the following components:
- Complete Tilton or US Brake reservoir with bracket (same price, same basic design. The initial prototype/photograph kit will use US Brake, but I may switch to Tilton for the rest of the kits)
- Aeroquip fittings for the steering rack
- Barbed "Tee" fitting
- All necessary tubing (oil/fuel safe)
- All necessary clamps
- Teflon tape for rack fitting
- Instructions
Final pricing is set at $66 plus shipping. I have researched UPS, FedEx Ground, and USPS, and FedEx ground appears to be the least expensive. Because of this, FedEx Ground will be my preferred shipping method unless a buyer objects. The packaged kit should be quite small and light, so shipping costs will be minimal. A member can also opt to pick up the kit if he/she is located near northern NJ.
The prototype kit should be complete by the middle of next week. Once the components arrive, I will photograph and weigh the kit for shipping purposes. I will post the photographs and begin taking final orders.
At that point, a member wishing to order a kit can PM or email me with his/her name, address, and contact information. I will calculate the shipping and relay the final cost to that member. The member can then tender payment by certified/bank check, money order, or Paypal.
Once I receive all of the payments, I will place the various orders, assemble and package the kits, and begin shipping them. The kits should begin shipping approximately one week after I receive the payments.
Again, please feel free to PM or email me with any questions or concerns.

I think it all depends on the individual, and having removed a few, it goes a little faster for me. However, for a first-time removal, I would estimate about an hour to drain, unbolt, and remove the system, then maybe half an hour to install the kit. As a rough estimate, figure two hours total from start to finish.
