Default S2000 HID Headlamps.....

So today an S2000 comes into my dealership from a body shop. The check engine light is on. I extract the DTC's with the Terdyne Honda Tablet. Turns out the AIR pump is not turning on with the ECM command. I break out the trouble shooting book and finally condemn the pump. But, as I'm testing the pump I look up see something a little strange on the lower part of the headlight housing. It's the HID ballast. But that's not what was strange. The strange part is that it was manufactured by Mitsubishi. I've see Mitsuba, Hitachi, BASF, TEC, manufacture parts for Honda before, but never Mitsubishi. Can anyone else confirm that this is the original ballast? Or did the body shop replace them with Mitsubishi re-manufactured ballasts. Let me know what you guys think.

Thank God someone replied!!! This has been bugging me for days. That's a good possibility, except I saw the three red diamonds next to the name and that's what keeps throwing me off. Arrrrrrg. I'll have to dig into a new car and find out at work soon. And Im taking pictures too.

I could've sworn it said "Mitsubishi" on the ballasts when I took my headlights out...

Good. This is helping. Thank you. I will try to get confirmation at work sometime in the future. Would anybody else like to contribute if they have seen their ballasts?

Nah, it's for sure Mitsubishi. I remember assuming it'd be just another Phillips ballast, but this sucker looks nothing like any other ballast i've seen. The S2000's Mitsubishi ballasts are huge.

If it said Matsushita, I would've thought "Panasonic" and that does not come to mind.

It's Mitsubishi so they got the right one in there for ya .

Sweet. Thank you. And to make me sleep even more sound at night I looked it up on Honda's parts catalog at my dealership and guess what I found?.........MITSUBISHI!!!!!! I thought that was interesting. I would have thought more people would get involved on this topic. Oh well. Thanks Again!
