Default 13.4 @105 in B18C1 turbo crx...

this is Carp, Im posting under my bnrothers name, cant sign out.
this was my second time at the track with it, but the first time I had some crazy problems with the car running too lean on a 12:1 FMU setup. was only able to run 14.1
so I ditched the FMU and put some DSM 450's and did the vafc hack.
I put the injectors in on friday night and tunned it on the drive to Englishtown sat. morning
first run 13.9 not that much better but the car felt fast. I was only running 6.5 psi no boost controler. after that run I decided to run my boost controller at 7 psi, well I got a 13.8 but now my problem was way too much wheel spin. I was spinning at the top of 1st, and 2nd. so I went over to the BFG tent and borrowed a set of radials I was then able to run a 13.4 at 105 still with a shitty 2.2 60 foot and still spinning, but up untill I got the radials I was pulling 2.4 60's
I only got 2 runs with the radials, then came eliminations if I had more time to practice I know I could have ran a very low 13.
but I am pretty happy with the results still room to tune the VAFC too!here is a pic of my crx from evotuners.com
:

also my Twin brother DOHCarp ran a 12.7 at 113 on sat. he also took 1st in B2 brackets

All u need is some more practice on that launch and you will be definetely in the low 13's. Just concentrate on your burnout and the launch. You can easily pull a 2.0 next time around. Good times nothing to be disapointed about .

I had the same problem in my crx, i ran a 14.3@103.95 with a 2.4 60', and it was on 185-60-14 tires, i just bought a set of nitto 555r drag radials, cant wait to try them out this weekend, hoping to be mid 13's with my turbo d-series running only 6psi, btw very nice crx....like the color, and the afc w/ 450's is way batter than those dang fmu's and check valves...thats just a dumb way to fuel a turbo car...afc hack works great

I didnt plan on running radials! I borrowed them from the BFG TENT, so I had no need for a working e-brake.
also it was working, but not well enough to hold back my car.
