Default JDM engine codes

What are the JDM engine codes for the B series engines? 1.8 liter engines. I know the b18c is the gsr engine but what is the 1.8liter teg type-r jdm engine code?

They are all B18C. No numbers. This is not all motor related. Post in Tech next time.

Milano is correct... they are all B18. Only thing is sometimes you'll see Spec R in the title. Basically, you'll just need to look at the plenum to see if it's the GSR or ITR, you could go by valve cover as well. I'm assuming this is all stock form.

in america we have codes for the head stamped on the block so the codes come out b18c5, b18c1, etc but in japan there is not a full head code, its just stamped b18c or b18a

The JDM Integra Type-R engine is the B18C-R (aka B18C Spec R)...

The B18C5 is a domestic model...

Like stated above, NO JDM engines have numbers. Alot of people also get confused with the term "b16a2" thinking it's a JDM engine. It's not... this is the USDM 99-00 Si (or SiR in Canada) engine. Here, the proper term would be B16A 2nd Gen.

Ooo weee. You MUST be hittin the chronic.

Actually USDM Del-Sol's are B16A3's. USDM Si's and Canadian SiR's are B16A2. REAL JDM motors never ever ever ever ever or ever came with the number on the end.

i didn't think so either and i actually accused my importer of trying to stamp numbers on a block to get more money out of people. i saw the car come out of the container and it was there. it is rare but the motor WAS a 2 and the european models do have them. they are not only USDM engine codes so i do apologize about saying they are JDM engine codes, i meant to only dispute that only USDM comes with the 2. my bad..... ease up on the sarcasm though there tough guy. the cars are right hand drive which means that it's definitely NOT correct in saying only the USDM Si's and the Canadian SiR's had the A2.

Actually I just gave some examples. All I stated was JDM engines DO NOT COME WITH NUMBERS. That's it. I did not say USDM's are the ONLY ones. I know Euro ones do. B18C4, B18C6 etc.... Sarcasm is my middle name Buster.

Actually the B18C1 and C5 are USDM that part is correct. However the C2, C4 and there is also a C6 (UKDM ITR) are all Euro specs. THERE ARE NO NUMBERS ON JDM HONDA MOTORS after the initail code. So yourself.
