If you have a VTEC head, you should be using a VTEC Oil Pump.

The crv oil pump should have the same part number as a gsr which means it is the same part.

Wow, I learn something new everyday. BTW, All VTEC Oil Pumps have the same part number, even the ITRs use the same pump.

This is true for all new pumps. Older oil pumps weren't all the same. But I guess Honda finally thinks oil pressure is important now...

wouldnt using a lower flow rate vtec oil pump be a good idea, where it gives the oil a chance to cool longer?

I don't know for sure what year they started, but I know it was at least 99. 96 maybe too far back, but all CRV oil pumps should be the same as ITR/GSR
