Looking for running 93 octane daily with the following motor in a DC2:
B20 block
balanced crank
12.5:1 JE pistons
crower rods
B18C1 head
??? Ti valve springs
??? Ti retainers
??? s/s or stock valves
??? stage III or IV cams
??? cam gears
with of course bolt-ons like:
JDM 4-1
test pipe
exhaust
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
Hondata s200 SAFM with RC 320cc
just looking to see what H-T members have used, loved, hated along with dyno #'s with a similar set-up, projected 1/4 mile times or any other info that you might want to give.
Thanks for taking the time... Peace

What are your goals w/ the car. What is the car going to be used for? Take all that into consideration.
I would go w/ the JUNs. Complete JUN valvetrain, not mix and match stuff. (thats the way i am, you can mix and match if you want but thats not my style. )

Not ready to buy just yet.......I'm looking for something I can take to Motorsports
Ranch (SCCA course, Driver's Edge...etc...)everyday use on 93 octane w/o det.
and about a low 13 sec 1/4 timeslip at the track. Not too too much to ask...he he.

My Toda Spec B idles like stock and it pulls like hell. If you can get your hands on these for a good price....go for it.
Preciously I had Skunk2 Stage2 and didn't like the way those make power. Skunk2 stage2 makes power at the high end and I don't always redline my car....Toda makes power in the midrange so I can use it all day.....

I'd run JUN III, or EF-1 cams. Make sure you have the compression for them though.
shameless plug:
I've got a ton of JUN stuff for sale...

if you're looking for a autocross or road course motor, go with toda spec Bs.
if you're going for drag, you'll want something like the jun III skunk2 stage II.

why is that? I believe they only make innner springs, you could just run skunk2 stage II's with skunk2 valvetrain and have the (skunk2) retainers nitride coated by http://www.brycoat.com
worked for me
