cams: itr > ctr ?
hoping one of you itr boys (and girls) can help me out. me: 94gsr > poor man's itr
i just re-read every post here that mentioned the word "cams" in the title but none of them answered my question. when i dropped off my car today, they told me i should consider dropping in a ctr cam (intake, of course). right now i have a 96spec jdm itr valvetrain (valves, springs, cams, lost motion). skunk2 manifold is going on now. (lots of other mods: head, 10.8:1, i/h/e, cam gears, pulleys, chip, etc). i know when going from gsr to type-r cam it's almost a no brainer: ctr intake. but is there a big enough difference for this(itr>ctr) to make sense? will i lose any midrange? i was quoted $325 which is a fair price considering i don't have time for any groupbuy/eBay crap. dunno, that's a chunk of money i could use towards the hondata stage 3 i want...
