If you go by 5zigen's quoted weight in grams and convert that to lbs, they are actually more than 15lbs, according to 5zigen. . .I'd love to be proven wrong though, as they were my #1 choice until I found out about the weight. . .

ssr competitions. I know they aren't listed on tire rack for the R, but they are supposed to fit and when they were on sale, they were less than 275 per.

exactly, i've seen all the retailers list the FN01-C 15x7 weight as 14lbs.

The rota 15 inchers are all 6.5 width I believe.
But they are light, cast, and very cheap. So if loosing that .5" doesn't have a huge affect on you, maybe look at the rest of the rota lineup.

excluding the inaccuracy of a bathroom scale, aren't fn01R forged and the fno1C cast; there is a huge difference in weight and price.

yes, rota 15" are only 6.5".
205/50 tires really only fit well on a 7"+ width wheel. i want to maximize width without rubbing. i may also look into 7.5" wheels but that will probably just introduce more weight and expense.

yeah those wheels are super nice. it came down to those or ssr's for me. i opted for the ssr's to save a little more weight off of my already heavy gsr. I'm surprised more people aren't buying those.

That is not true, IMHO. 205/50/15 tires fit nicely on 6.5" wide wheel except the Falken Azenis.

I agree.
It seems that 205/50 is perhaps the best fitting tire width for 6.5" wheels, at least from my personal experience.
