15x7 SSR Competitions... does it fit/clearance?
Okay, I've found 15x7 (not 15x7.5) SSR Comps on sale at Tire Rack. They do not have it listed for Type-R's but they do have them in 15x7 with +42ET. They say it's not listed for the Type-R because of possible clearance problems with the front brakes. So, does anyone here have SSR comps in 15x7 on their R's? Any problems? I guess the SSR type-c is the same wheel, so anyone with these wheels also please give your input.
thanks
thanks
They used to sell 15x7 comps for the type-r previously(6mos-year), but now it's not listed. They say if I order them and doesn't fit, I'll have to pay for shipping back to them. I'm just trying to get some accurate feedback as to whether they will fit or not?
Anyone have these in 15x7?

They should fit, 'cuz JDM 16x7" w/ +45offset fits over stock calipers without a problem. I don't see how 7" wheel w/ +42mm offset won't fit, unless the spokes are curved insanely.
Another reason it might not fit is that since typeC's have nice lip, that it does indeed bring the spokes to touch the calipers.

15x7=239
15x7.5=309
also, I think a 205-50x15 tire would fit a lot better on a 7" wheel than a 7.5. Not planning to use anything wider than 205's. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

i agree that they will most likely fit, but their concern would more likely be wheel to caliper clearance, wouldn't it? using the sticky/magnet weights on the inside of the rim might get veeeerrrrryyy close.. i know it looks close on my Rotas.. maybe they had one that hit the weight on a customers set or something so they decided to stop "recommending" them, even though they should fit fine..
