Slipping the clutch on launch???
I'm new to racing a manual trans car. Is slipping the clutch on launch an idea that might work for me? I'm getting 2.4 second 60 foot times. Launching at 4000 it bogs and at 4500 it spins. Should I just try to slip the clutch a little? Any other ideas? It's a 95 Civic coupe, d16z6 with Greddy turbo kit.
If your on street tyres you HAVE to slip the clutch. I grimace even thinking about the way I have to ride the clutch to get off the line. I JUST delay the release until the car moves but it don't feel good doing it....

That's what I thought. Sounds like it will take a good bit of practice to get it right. What kind of 60 foot times can be had on street tires?

I'd love to get below 2.0, that would get me into the 14s. But my car is the stock weight, and my fat *** also.
