PLEASE SAY IT AIN'T SO!
im about to do the big 8 upgrade in my 'new' car, was gonna do what i did with the last, 4awg on all ground, alteranter, starter, fusebox wires!
"whats so special about hyper ground systems and why cant you use any old wire to do the same thing? the high quality wires are constructed of almost pure copper.since electrons travel only the outside of each strand of wire , each hyper ground wire uses 1,477 strands of 99 percent pure copper wire. other grounding systems use less than 300 strands and some other brands use only aluminium wire that costs less but does nt perform nearly as well as copper wire......
to keep the electrons inside the wire the silver and gold coloured hyper grounds use 3 layers of sheilding to prevent electron leakage. red blue and yellow use 2 layers of shielding. So even if you tried to use GOOD OLD AMPLIFIER POWER WIRE it would not be as effective....."-import tuner
maybe im over reacting but they gor h/p gains from these kits and im gonna feel reeaaaaaal dorky buying my cheap 4awg power wire and re doing my big 8

I would love to find out the author of that article as well as read it for myself.

Sounds like more BS the stereo industry is trying to cram down your throat so they can make more sales.

GREAT!
i figured it was a bias article!
hey, you think i should wrap the 4awg with silicone hoses? i figured it'd shield them and it would match the other hoses in the engine! while protecting them from shorting on the chassis or moving parts, remember im doin, starter, alt fuse box as well
