I was looking at the chips on ebay with the different programs for the p28 ecu. The ships are like $25.00 and I was wondering if they made a reasonable difference for the price? And please dont rant and rave about how I should get hondadata, its great and all but i aint got 500+ bux just for the chip, especially since i aint got turbo i just need something to boost my a/f curves and kill the governor.

those chips are just phonies!! they can send you a crappy program and you dont know, they are mostly cheap copies of other prgrams, but please get your ecu tuned by a shop that knows what they are doing

 

they'll prolly do more HARM than good, it could kill you fuel economy, emission, power, etc...

I would stay away from the ebay ones just b/c ebay scares me but I do know this
a chipped P28 can make a huge *** difference (ex: my friend has a hatch with a B16 and bolt ons, with Si ecu I smoke him in my ITR but when he switches out his ECu S2 chipped P28 he ownes my by a car) DAMn you OBD 1 chipped ECU

 

My friend tried them chips twce for his GSR swap. He was chipping his obd1 GSR ecu with a Skunk2 program. First time, the chip made his car rev lemit at 3k.

Second time, it made his ECU do the same thing but when removed the ECU was done and would no longer rev past 3k....
