b18a vs b18b
the b18a in most cases will be cheaper due to its age so its a good bet for a rebuild. the newer b18b has a better flowing head although it is nothing very special. the 2 will also differ in terms of OBD.

i currently have a 93 ls/vtec with a b18a bottom end and i was considering buying a block but its a b18b....

no, you can use both a b18a or b18b, it will require no difference in electronics
