Default Need Help Building 1.6 Stroker Block

Ok i ported my ITR intake manifold, ported and rebuilt my ITR head. I've got a B16A block, im pretty sure its JDM, anyways im trying to put my ITR Crank along with JE 12:1 Pistons and Crower rods into it. What specs should the pistons and rods be? Should aftermarket sleeves be used? Would it be better to go with a 1.8 block? Any input is very appreciated.

the bore is the same size as the 1.8L im sure if you call crower tell them you have a B16 Block, and you want to run the 87.2mm crank they will know what length rods you will need and the pistons, i wrote all this down before just dont have it on me.

Type R Crank stroke is 87.2mm? Would it be safer to go with a 1.8 block. Any plus side to using a 1.6 block and stroking it?

it would be cheaper to go with a 1.8L block... 1.7L crank would bolt right in... with its rods.. and pistons... thats that only stock stroker kit you could use... without custom rods..

using the ITR crank in the b16 will destroy your rod to stroke ratio and will not make your block a 1.8.

it will be a 1.6 with small rods. because you havent changed the deck height to match a 1.8 nor have you increased the bore size to get the extra .2 liters.

you COULD sleave it to 84mm. but WHY???? it would me more money.

get a 1.8 block and save yourself headaches and sleepless nights.

81x 81x .7854 x 87.2 x 4= 1797369.67872 ÷ 1000 = 1797cc

so how is that not a 1.8L i fail to see how this still is a 1.6L the deck height isnt making your displacement any less, just lets you run a longer rod.

also a B16A, B18C1, B18C5, B18A/B are all 81mm bore so there is no need to increase the bore to make it a 1.8L all you need is the crank, rods and pistons.

And the r/s ratio isnt that big of a jump not like he is trying to put a 95mm crank into a B16A Block.
