I looked at the JDM MUGEN and JDM DC Header and they look almost identical in size next to each other. Does anyone know what the major differences are besides the craftmanship. Mugen has nice welds.

 

The DC is a copy of the Mugen. For the price.....I'd go DC.

 

For one Quality

 

Mugen have a better quality and welds. One thing I am sure that the Mugen Fange(top) will not rust or oxidises but the DC will for sure.

I never see a DC but Mugen should have bigger primaries.

Do you think that the CC will rust or just the SS. The DC header I mean.

 

WTF cares about quality. At this cost, you can afford to bang them up, spray them with salt water, pee on them all day long, and you'll still come out ahead in price.

The Mugen piece is nice... but not that nice.

LOL, this is why I went with the DC. I'd give up a couple of HP to save myself $600. I never thoght about urinating on them though

Never said there was much of a difference maybe 1-2hp, the only difference is really quality, Im not saying Dont by the DC, Quite the opposite I think that by the time you have your DC rust up to a point where its real bad you could buy another one and still spend less than the Mugen.

 

This was covered recently. I think somebody suggested coating the DC with thermal paint or something which would keep the rust at bay. Just depends on what you want to look phatter, your engine bay or your wallet.

My DC doesn't sit nearly as low as the Mugen. I have seen the Mugen header on an ITR in my rear view mirror while driving down the road, and the header is clearly visible b/c of how low it sits.

 

The price.........3 DC's for 1 Mugen. Some Mugen stuff is worth the price, when it comes to their header and exhaust, your better off with something else.

That's funny. I think the only thing Mugen that is worth the price is the header although I think there are better flowing headers out there depending on what you want to do with the car.

 

Are the pipes any different in size? between the MUGEN and DC?
