installing an amp?
i just bought a 98 accord EX and i want to install my subwoofer. I pulled the radio out 2day, and from behind i seen a wiring harness and an antenna wire. I didnt see any RCA outputs. Are there any RCA outputs on the stock head unit?(maybe underneath the metal bracket?) IF NOT, how can i install this amp using an alternative wire. some kind of adapter or something? And also if you know, which wire may be the remote wire. i appriciate the help from any one who has done this.
thanks
thanks
Nah stock HU doesnt have any RCA outputs, easiest way to do it is use a line level converter off your speaker outputs.
As far as remote goes, usually the power arial wire can be used. Otherwise any wire that on has positive current when ACC or teh deck is switched on (i just use a test light to find one)

If you use the antenna wire then the amp will only work when the radio is on. You can use a constant power wire with a switch on it if you don't have one, you'll have to turn them off or else the battery will run flat
