Just wondering what it takes to put an ITR or CTR LSD into my y21 tranny? I also my be doing the JDM 4.78 FD kit.

I know you have to take the tranny out but just wondering what parts and all I will need to get the job done.

it fits if you use a b18c1/5 final drive gear. the b16 one is to small. other then that it fits ok. BTW an ls final gear will not work. it is identical to a b16 in terms of size

 

so all I need is the 4.7 FD kit and an Itr or Ctr lsd and the gsr 5th gear and it all bolts in.

Yes, the final drive and diff is different on y21 trannies compared to itr trannies. A 5th gear from an LS, I think is lower than a gsr 5th gear. So, if the final drive is for an itr than you will need a itr differential.

 

I understand that they are different. But what do I need to do the 4.78 FD and the Itr Lsd swap into my y21?
