Default buying CTR pistons

I'm going to be putting some CTR pistons in my B17 and was wondering what rods I could use with them? I'm 99% sure the stock rods won't work. Also, where could I get these and for what price? I'm also going to use a mugen headgasket.

And if that doesn't work you can mill 1mm off of each side of the rods to get them to fit or take them to a mechine shop to do it. That will still be cheaper than buying new rods. I did it myself its not that hard if you have all the tools and know what your doing. I'm pretty sure you have to have them milled so good luck.

yes i did some more searching around and i found out i'd have to take 1mm off the side of each rod to make them fit. how much do you think it'd cost for them to shave the rods, fit them to the CTR pistons, put them in place of the stock ones, and put on a mugen headgasket?

its probably not that much to get the slugs mounted on rods, the installation and head gasket are gonna be with biggest damper where they take a while to do @ $30/hour prolly wont be cheap....

Does anyone have pics of the rods after taking off 1mm? I am about to take my motor to the local machine shop to get ctr pistons. The problem is the machine shop does 98% domestic(very well respected with domestics) so i have to viisualy show him exactly what i want done.. Any help or pics would be appreciated. thanks

i have a set of standard bore ctr pistons mounted on gsr rods, the ctr pistons have 230 miles on it, i started to break the motor in, then decided to part the motor out, too much debt. They come with rings, but have been used for 230 miles...

I bought them breand new from alex from one6 motorsports....brand new in the honda boxes i didnt even finish breaking them in. if you dont alreayd have them you can IM me and make an offer. Just a suggestion
