Skunk 2 spring ?... what goes where?
I have a set of Skunk 2 springs. They said when I ordered them that they were 400 for the front and 500 for the rear. The numbers on them go like this:
700.250.006 ( for 2 of them )
700.250.008 S ( for the other 2 )
The 008S 's are visibly thicker than the 006's and feel stronger. But in the booklet they say for 88-00 civics the 008's go in the front and 006's in the rear? is that right? Could the 006's be a heavier spring rate even though they look thiner than the 008's? I wanted to try the heavier ones in the rear...

if you want stiffer front put the 008 spring there.
you ordered 400-500? those numbers on the spring tell me mid 300 and mid 400.
i put the 400's upfront and 300 rear.

on mine all the number were the same. And the manual didn't say anything about them being a different spring rate.
EDIT: I just looked at mine and they both say 8S so what spring rate do i have. Sorry man if im hijacking you thread.

the 6 ones equal s/r of 300
the 8 ones equal s/r of 400
I had to call skunk direct to figure out to divide the last number by 2 and add 00 to the end.
I bought mine used and had no clue.
I use the 8 up front and the 6 ones in the rear. What a fun ride it has become.
