Default trouble again

today i was messing with my car trying to get it to run...and was messing with the sparkplugs..and in the fourth cylinder there was tons of oil..and i was getting no spark, all other three were firing...i put another spark plug in the cylinder started her up and, before i could notice...that spark plug was burnt out too!, thinking that i've solved my problem, i went to give it some gas, and it sounds like i'm not gettin any fuel to my engine? the car is stuttering like hell. it sounds so sick...its undriveable...any suggestions or comments?

Well you said you had oil in the 4th cylinder and you just put a new spark plug in.. Well did you ever take care of the oil problem ? It still sounds like have oil in the 4th cylinder and your car is only running on 3 cylinders.Try changing your valve cover grommets around the spark plug holes. And replace the old spark plug.

well, its true thatit could have been a fuel problem also, but with your initial probmle bieng oil in the cylinder, then that should have been dealt with first. Change the grommets, and replace the plug, because chances are that where ur studder is coming from...thats what happen when it skips a cylinder...good luck

if your not firing in the 4th cylynder then its not burning gas in that cylynder, that is whats causing the studdering, fix the oil problem, i would get a compression test, good luck

Was the oil on top or bottom of the spark plug?? if it was on top just like they said above change the gromment. If its on the bottom by the electrode of the spark plug could be a bad ring.
As for your fuel problem when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

the oil is near the bottom...the same thing has happend in the first cylinder, i had it fixed now its happening in the fourth..it was a bad ring last time, and i changed the fuel filter in mid febuary....

Well if it happened before wiht a different cylinder I would guess that its another bad ring. And well it may not be a fuel problem at all it might just be the fact that oil is covering the electrode making either no spark or a not very good spark. I would do a compression and leak down test to see whast going on.
