I want to know.....
I have a Honda Civic 2000 HB DX I want to know how much horsepower and torque I have.... and how could I add more torque without paying a crazy price, and the type of motor is d16????? thanks
Your motor stock has 106 HP and 103 lb-ft torque.
The D series motor is an SOHC (and in your particular car, without vtec). Its also the kind that uses pistons =P
Honestly, to get those numbers near competitive you'll have to spend a lot. The two routes people take are to swiitch out to stuff from the y8 and boost or to swap to a be series engine. I personally would go with the swap. I wouldn't expect to pay any less than $2k either route.

Yah your looking at major work to get that thing moving. Swap is your only way to go. Most HB do that to gain excessive HP and Torque. That car wasnt built for racing and your basically gonna have to MAKE it a new car.
I didn't mean racing on drags but like if theres a ecko next to me I want to beat his *** or a golf.... And I dont know crap about mechanical so a swap may BE VERY hard (no?) maybe I could change stuff this may not be so hard I already got intake and exaust. Adding chrome headers will this help? any other stuff like that that could help thanks in advance
Stay away from Chrome.. it's really heavy and on a car that make a little over 100 torque weight matters. For the headers, I'd go with ceramic. For a cheap way to beat and quick way to beat an echo, you might want to try a 30-40 shot of NO2. Not the best way to do it, but probably the cheapest.

Wow, I remember when I didnt know a thing about cars, I thought an intake was the greatest thing ever. Noob days.
You will need to turbo your car or do a swap. I suggest for you, do a cheap turbo set up. Don't buy chrome heders, they do not make a difference what metal they are, chrome is just flashy. Buy whatever you want. But intake/headers/exhaust dont do a whole lot. You can find a ton of information on this forum about boosting your car. Just check out the Forced Induction forum.
I say spend a few months on here learning then boost your car for less than $1k yes it can be done
