What does everyone think about putting a f20b motor in a 1997 civic 4dr
I was just thinking about putting a f20b in my 97 civic 4dr, what do you all think of that, good idea or bad idea? would it be better to get engine work and through a turbo on it, or what this is pretty new to me (the motor) and I was just wondering so let me know...................thanks

I read this also before someone says to research.............
H22/JDM F20B
Pros
200 hp
H22=156 ft/lbs torque
F20B=145 ft/lbs torque
Great torque
DONT WEIGH THAT MUCH MORE THAN A B SWAP!!
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550
Cons
Harder to install than a B/D motor
transmission feel is vague IMHO
Less info out there for the swap (aka, less experience as they are less common)
Price of swap is comperable to a B18C5 after everything is said and done (mounts, etc)
h motors online says 200 hp 145tq with jdm motor, whos right?

I think that you're better off going with the H22A...unless you want to be "more original."

If you put an H22 in........the outcome you are looking at is....................having an H22 in your Civic.
On the other hand...........if you put the F20 in, then your most likely possible outcome is..............having an F20 motor in your Civic.

Then ask "What kind of aftermarket is there available for the F-series? If it sucks I'll just go with the H".
Saying "what kind of outcome would I be looking at" is so vague its.....vague.
