Default Air Intake Temp Gauge?

I really don't have the $400 something to spend on the Autometer twin pyrometer setup, so I have a Venom LED readout connected to the stock IAT sensor on my manifold.

The gauge is intended to be used as an Engine Temp gauge, and Venom specifies that it can be connected directly to the stock coolant sensor - I checked and the voltages for the IAT and the coolant temp sensor are the same, so it works fine. Trouble is, it has no true markings for degrees, only about 10 LED's that simply display voltage as a sequential pattern on the readout.

So - I was thinking of buying an Autometer Temperature gauge, the question is, do the Autometer senders operate on the same voltages as stock?

I doubt they have the same scaling as an oem sensor. You'll probaby have to mount the autometer temp sensor.

If someone is so inclined.... measuring the sensor (autometer) with a volt meter will indicate what the signal is, preferably cold and at operating temp, thus answering the question. Help?
