Car starts and stalls immediately? wtf?
Had my car in storage for more than a week now and today I tried to start the car and as soon as the car started it stalled immediately. It's definitely not starter-related because the engine does start for half a sec. Its' not the MAP sensor either.
Can anyone suggest me anything?

It might just not have enough fuel going to it and you need to drive it. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Hmm..so far I think I've tried it about...30 times. I know this is pointless but I tried revving immediately after the car started but it died right after.

Might be ignition switch.
When mine went bad, I had to keep light forward pressure on the key to keep the engine running just not too much pressure so it doesn't start the car again.
Do ignition switch search

quarter tank of gas. I'll look into the ignition.
btw, stupid question but car should start regardless of whether a gauge cluster is present or not, right?

And its highly unlikely its the ignition switch. Just had it replaced, among all the locks due to thieves destroying it.
It's not the map sensor either, I cleaned that bitch a million times now.
Now the engine only starts sometimes and dies immediately. Sometimes the engine wont even turn over. What else can I look at?

This may sound incredibly stupid, but this happened to me a couple weeks ago - I checked my oil and forgot to put the cap back on, creating the worlds biggest vacuum leak.... did ya check to oil before you tried to start it?
Oil is fine.
Okay here is what I did. Since the engine does turn over most of the time but dies immediately, I stepped on the gas pedal and revved at 2k~3k for about 30 seconds. Surprisingly, the engine did not die this time.
So was my engine flooded or something? this is weird.

Sounds like your car just needed some coaxing after sitting for a while. Same thing happens to my crx when it sits around for a while but it usualy sits for a few months

Your injectors possibly clogged, or maybe your gas went bad from sitting, although a week isnt a long time.
Try putting in some stabilizer or fuel system "cleaner" and see if that makes a difference.

I will have the injectors tested for sure.
Do those fuel system cleaners really work though? I thought most of them were all bs.

I wouldnt say total BS, but you can pinpoint *minimal* problems with your system. In your case, if the injectors were dirty or clogged, it wont restore them, but if you do notice a difference, you can pinpoint the problem.
Mine recently acted similarly...upon driving and popping it in neutral, it would just stall. It would do this maybe 5 or 6 times tops, then act normal again. Popped in some STP treatment and it hasnt happened since.

check you spark plugs and other ignition components etc....you should be able to find the problem without too much difficulty
