i recently bought a kyoto del sol vtec dual core radiator from radiators.com. I want to use a higher pressure radiator cap with my new radiator. but it will NOT fit? the cap that came with the new radiator, rated to open 0.9bars, is larger than the oem one off of my civic si '92. shouldn't they be the same? are civic and del sol radiator cap different sizes?

 

You know I just replaced my radiator about 2 weeks ago. I bought an automatic 92-95 radiator cause it was thicker, and my 93Si radiator cap didn't fit either, it was too small. Looks like the same situation with the Del Sol one.

 

youre auto radiator didnt have a coolent slot for autotransmission?


anybody know what aftermarket cap to use for del sol copy radiator

 

FWIW, a Spoon cap sold for Civics fits fine on my radiator ('97 Sol VTEC).

 

I had a Mugen cap for my original radiator, but the new auto radiator cap is much bigger

 

I have a 92 hatch dx, will a mugen cap fit my stock radiator?
