Default A Day With the Vdub Heads (56killa)

Well I went to a Vdub event with my sisters BF who has a fully built 68' Bug Turbo. I must say it was interesting to see a new crowd of people. Not many ricers, and many people were talking about how they gave honda's alot of respect (I was pimpin my Honda hat). All in all it was a good day, and it was nice to see people just out having fun for the love of the sport Here are some pics.

This is Andre's bug. He was a cool guy. New stuff about honda's too. This bug was pimp. Its all motor 14:1 compression. Unfortunately it was having problems and didnt get a chance to run. Its a 10sec bug.

This was Jersey Joe's Car. His car was sickly fast. NOS'd 150shot and ran a 11.13@103.mph. He let off the gas at the end. It has run a 10.06 before.

This is my friend Tom/Johns beetle. Its quick, but was having traction problems that day.

Fed buy Demon carb which is inside the car. The two holes on the side lead to 2 air filters under the car

Boost is regulated by a new Greddy E-01. Sweet boost controller.

This is a turbo Jetta that I had to give props too. Turbo and ran 11's all day.

The three bugs above were the guys I was with. All cool guys and new alot about Vdubs. I enjoyed learning about Carbs and **** that I had no clue about. There were also many corrados and gti's that were quick. Vdub guys

Sweet bugs. And nice Demon carb on there. For those who don't know a demon carb is suppose to be pretty good.

I use to be into the "VW Scene" when i had my GTi. I personally think ive seen as much, if not more riced out vdubs than hondas. And out of all the vdub people i knew most were not very serious when it came to performance. Just think technically, the VW world is years behind the Honda scene. But yea there r a few here and there who put down the money to make thier dub fast. Heres a pic of my old ride.....

I like VW too. Not the transmissions though. I hate the feel of the way they shift.

The first Bug is for sale I believe. I think he only wants like $4000 without engine and tranny. I can get more info if you are interested. Let me know.
