what are the correct values for properly working:

I wouldnt worry about ohm readings to much. If its not working...its just not working. Something isnt/wasnt done right on the wiring side or you dont have sufficient amount of oil pressure. Dont worry about the knock sensor..it is not needed for vtec activation. P30 or PWO ecu? Check engine light on? If its is then try these.

1. check wiring for continuity from the ecu to the sensor
2. make sure the vtec pressure switch is grounded
3. double and triple check that the wires have been placed into the harness at the correct place. ive been doing this for ten years and still will make a mistake every once and a while.
4. is the speedo working and there isnt another cel.....a map cel or other sensor diables the vtec function.

If all this is right and you dont have a check engine light on then it may be meachanical.

It requires a certain amount of oil pressure to activate vtec. Possible oil pump problem or bearing clearance issue. These all need to be addressed before trying to figure out ohm readings.

Pm if you need further assistance. Good luck

i checked wiring for continuity to the sensors.
its all good. still no vtec. Would a leaky mechanical oil pressure guage afect vtec oil pressure??

can i pull the speedo sensor off my d16 tranny and attach it to my ls tranny?
that way i can use a civic speedo cable, since all the integras at the yard have been raped to hell. will a ls speedo cable even hook up to my dash speedo?

ITR is Integra Type R. not integra

use "teg" for integra.

okay. now i'm a little confused. i'm running a pr3 on my d16z6 in my91 crx and i've managed to get rid of all the codes except for the knock sensor. i'm pretty sure it's not going into vtec, and assumed the knock sensor code was the problem. whether it is or not, i'd like to fix the problem so i can get rid of my CEL. what do i have to do to convince my ecu that it's there without having to have the block tapped for the sensor.
