Default Is this what a blown head gasket looks like?

This is what I found when I took my head off.

The white areas are powdery, which I'm assuming its burnt coolant. So does this look blow to you? Does anyone have a pic of a blown head gasket? Thanks.

Where the gasket blew it will be cleaner as opposed to black in those areas. A good gasket should be pretty consistent all the way around.

Hard to tell due to quality of picture......but I dont see anyting that looks like it has blown through. Usually youll find an extremly dark/black mark between the cylinders or cylinder to water jacket. Gasket material comes off naturally due to heat but without and actuall break with black exhaust like powder its not blown.

doesn't matter now, you've removed the gasket so you'll have to get a new one.

When I pulled mine it didnt really look bad either, there was a leak in between the layers of it. But the #1 piston was blinging as opposed to the other 3(indication of coolant leaking in) Replaced the hg and my problems were gone.
